I'm just going to say this product was not good at all. I was completely disappointed!!!! I would not recommend this to anyone, and wish that I'd never bought it!!!!

Let me say that this is the best machine on the market for home use.
Probably my first batch of ice cream was with a high school friend on his farm. We took unpasturized milk, eggs from the hen house, sugar, vanilla and whipping cream we bought at the store. Then the ice and the salt and the hand cranking! Raw milk, raw eggs--and we all lived!
I worked in a commercial ice cream plant for six summers while in high school and college. My BS degree is from Ohio State with a major in Dairy Technology.
I dont know how old my machine is, but I do know that I have made ice cream, sherbet, yogurt, ices, gelato, sorbeto and granita in this machine.
This report is not finished, but I will edit it later and further explain why this is a great machine.

This thing makes great ice cream, but don't buy it unless you have room in your freezer. You freeze the bowl for 24 hours, then add the ingredients and turn it on. Even a man could do it. There are tons of recipes on line and homemade ice cream is incredible. It's not frozen solid like the stuff in the store, it's more creamy (it isn't going to bend your spoon)! You can make any flavor you want and you can make most flavors a different color for special occasions. There is plenty of room in the mixer to throw in some fruit or candy. Goes great with anything and makes enough for the whole family. My tricky wife sometimes uses low fat healthy stuff and I don't even notice. They do sell extra bowls so you can make ice cream every night, but only if you have extra room in the freezer.
